Premier League: Manchester City vs Brighton 31/10/2026
Both teams have huge attacking potential but also problems at the back, so I’m expecting an open game in which both sides should find their way to the net.
Goals Betting
Another clash at the Etihad, just three days after the cup tie, and this time I’m not looking for a winner but for goals at both ends. Wednesday showed us what’s in store: City fell behind twice and, after a 2-2 draw, only went through 4-3 on penalties, and that was with a second-string lineup. Now the big guns are back, as Haaland, Anderson, Donnarumma, Dias and Gvardiol were given time off and missed the cup game, so they should be fresh. The numbers are crystal clear: City have scored in 24 consecutive league games, and Haaland has seven goals in seven Premier League matches against Brighton, scoring in each of the last four. On the other hand, City are free-scoring but vulnerable, having conceded 10 goals in their last five games. Brighton are the league’s top scorers with 23 goals, and City and Brighton are the top two teams for expected goals. Another weapon for the Seagulls is Gross, who has created more chances than anyone in the league and has more assists than any other player. The key stat to finish: City are winless in their last five head-to-head meetings, and Brighton haven’t kept a clean sheet in their last 19 games against City. Two teams that play open, attacking football with no holding back, and I find it hard to imagine a scenario where either side fails to score.
