Oscar 2026 – Best Supporting Actress

Three performances enter the final stage with realistic chances of winning the Oscar, but due to the originality of her role and strong industry support, the experienced Amy Madigan appears to have a slight edge in a very uncertain race.
Best Supporting Actress
One of the many tight races for an Oscar statuette is the Best Supporting Actress category and in a rare historical case we are heading toward a finale where three performances have strong chances for the final victory.
Wunmi Mosaku from Sinners won the BAFTA and is gaining popularity as the momentum of Sinners grows. Teyana Taylor won the Golden Globe and appears in the favorite One Battle after another.
Amy Madigan also won an important award, perhaps the most important one, at the SAG Awards, although her film Weapons has no other Oscar nominations. She is a well recognized actress with a previous nomination many years ago, married to Ed
Harris who has also never won despite being widely respected and popular. She carries a commercially very successful film and plays a role of a witch that could become memorable.
In a three way race for the award, the advantage appears to lean toward the more experienced actress with a very original role. The odds correctly place her as the favorite, but the price remains attractive for betting.
