We’re fans of the Rabona desktop site. The black and red colour scheme works really well and helps differentiate between sports and markets. While each page contains a lot of information, it doesn’t appear too busy, with the layout being a highlight.

That being said, we wish Rabona would remove the adverts for their Casino from the right hand side. The Casino facility is easy to find anyway and the space taken up by the advertisements for their other features could be better utilised. However, this is only a minor issue and didn’t really affect our overall experience too much.

The A-Z menu isn’t really an A-Z menu, it’s just a list of all sports and events in absolutely no order at all, save for the most popular sports that head the list. Above this you’ll find the Top Leagues section which is dominated by football divisions.

While the pre-match pages are easy to use, it’s with their live betting facility where Rabona really excel. Hit the Live Betting tab at the top of the page to gain access to all current in-play odds. It features a wide range of sports, with live streaming easily accessible too.

The mobile version of the desktop site, while slightly more cluttered, is still extremely usable. There isn’t a dedicated mobile app available, though there are QR codes featured on the site that supposedly will download an app when scanned. We tried the Application for WIndows, iOS and Android and all three came back with error messages. We presume there’s an app in development, though.

Despite the fact that there are QR codes and links directing us to download a mobile app, it appears that there aren’t any available. We tried using the QR codes for Windows, iOS and Android devices which led us to receive error codes.

While the lack of a dedicated app might be a disappointment, the mobile version of the desktop site works incredibly well. We found it just as easy to navigate through the mobile site as we did its desktop counterpart.

We did notice that streams tend to work better on the desktop site, there was very little buffering and the visuals were clearer using our desktop. Betting on live odds can give different challenges to standard pre-match betting. The nature of live betting is that odds can fluctuate dramatically, and quickly, as an event progresses. For example, if you’re betting on a tennis match and a player goes two games up in a Set, the odds on that player to go on to win the Set, and even the Match, are likely to shorten. The odds on their opponents are likely to lengthen.

Bet delays and suspensions are also common in live betting. Expect these when significant events happen in a fixture, for instance when a goal is scored in football, or a sin bin in rugby. Bet suspensions take place while the operator adjusts their odds to account for the change in play.

One criticism, though, is that there can often be queues for the Live Chat service. During our testing, we were often waiting for over ten minutes to be connected.

Customers can also contact the team via their social media channels. Rabona have official Instagram, YouTube and Telegram channels. We did find, though, that we received quicker responses using the Live Chat and email services directly through the operator site.
