Exeter City will be looking to continue their strong start to the League Two season when they host Rotherham at St James Park on October 3rd, 2026. The Grecians enter the fixture with a commendable record of two wins and one loss from their opening three matches, boasting a 67% win rate. Their attacking prowess has been evident, netting seven goals, though a concern will be the ten goals conceded, suggesting defensive vulnerabilities. Recent form sees them with two wins from their last three outings, indicating good momentum.
Conversely, Rotherham arrive in Exeter under significantly more pressure, having lost their solitary league fixture so far, scoring just one goal and conceding two. This solitary result paints a grim picture, and they will be desperate to kickstart their campaign. The key narrative here revolves around Exeter's ability to exploit Rotherham's early season struggles, particularly their lack of offensive rhythm. Watch for Exeter's forward line to test a potentially fragile Rotherham defence, while the Millers will need a vastly improved performance to avoid another defeat and gather their first points of the season.
