Bayern München kick off their UEFA Champions League campaign on September 8th, 2026, hosting Norwegian dark horses Bodo/Glimt. The German champions arrive in formidable touch, having begun their domestic season with a perfect record, scoring five goals without conceding. Their solitary recent outing saw a dominant victory, underscoring their readiness for European competition.
Bodo/Glimt, meanwhile, bring a more extensive, if slightly less consistent, run of form. With four wins, one draw, and two losses from seven matches, they've shown their attacking prowess, netting 14 goals, but also some defensive vulnerabilities, conceding seven. Their recent five-game stretch includes three wins, one draw, and one defeat, indicating a team finding its rhythm. The key narrative here is Bayern's relentless pursuit of European glory against a Bodo/Glimt side eager to prove their mettle on the biggest stage. Watch for Bayern's clinical finishing against Bodo/Glimt's counter-attacking threat. The Bavarians are heavy favorites, but Bodo/Glimt's unpredictable nature could make for an intriguing contest.
