Final score: Paris Saint Germain 6–1 Slovan Bratislava
Match preview
The Parc des Princes prepares to host its first UEFA Champions League fixture of the 2026/27 season as Paris Saint-Germain welcome Slovan Bratislava. For the Parisian giants, this marks the official start of their European campaign, with their domestic season yet to commence. Consequently, their form remains an unknown quantity, a blank slate eager to be filled with dominant displays.
Slovan Bratislava, however, arrive with some competitive miles under their belt. Their early-season form has been mixed, registering a win, a draw, and a loss from their opening three league matches. While they’ve shown potency in attack, netting seven goals, their four conceded suggest vulnerabilities that PSG’s formidable front line will undoubtedly look to exploit. This encounter presents an early test of Bratislava's European credentials against one of the continent's perennial powerhouses. All eyes will be on PSG's new-look squad as they aim to lay down an emphatic marker in Group A, while Bratislava will be hoping to frustrate their hosts and snatch a valuable point on the road.
