Armenia kick off their UEFA Nations League campaign on home soil against Latvia, with optimism high despite their lack of recent competitive action. The hosts, whose form is currently unrecorded, will be eager to make a strong statement in front of their fans. Their historical head-to-head record against Latvia is encouraging, featuring two wins in their last three encounters, including a resounding 4-1 victory.
Latvia, meanwhile, arrive with a challenging recent history, having secured just one win and two draws from eight matches, conceding fifteen goals in the process. Their last five outings have seen them manage only a single draw alongside four defeats, highlighting their struggles for consistency. Despite this, they will be looking to their last H2H win, a 2-0 triumph, for inspiration. All eyes will be on whether Armenia can capitalize on Latvia's defensive vulnerabilities and secure an opening victory, or if Latvia can spring a surprise and defy the odds, which heavily favour the home side for a crucial three points.
