The UEFA Nations League continues on October 4, 2026, as Malta hosts Andorra in a Group D encounter. Both sides will be eager to kickstart their campaigns, with Malta yet to register a point or a goal in the competition. This fixture presents a prime opportunity for the island nation to leverage home advantage and secure their first win, having shown glimpses of defensive resilience in past outings.
Andorra arrives having drawn one and lost one of their two matches, failing to find the net themselves while conceding twice. Their recent form suggests a side that is hard to break down but struggles for attacking fluency. The key narrative here revolves around which team can unlock the other's defence. For Malta, the focus will be on converting any chances created, while Andorra will look to maintain their disciplined shape and potentially snatch a goal on the counter. Watch for a tightly contested affair, likely decided by a moment of individual brilliance or a set-piece.
