ABA League: Igokea vs Borac 10/10/2026
Igokea are the stronger and more cohesive team, and with home-court advantage and Borac’s poor record in Laktasi, the hosts should comfortably secure another victory.
Betting on the points handicap
Igokea opened the new ABA League season with a home win against competition debutants Slovan Bratislava, winning 97-89. For young Serbian coach Nenad Stefanovic, this is his third season in charge of the Laktasi-based team, which has once again assembled an interesting squad, combining experienced domestic ABA League players with several foreign reinforcements. One of them is American international Robert Penn, who scored 18 points and was among the key contributors to the victory over Slovan, a team that put up a respectable fight.
On the other hand, it looks as though Borac will once again face a tough battle to avoid relegation this season. The Cacak side began its campaign with a fairly routine defeat at home, in the hall by the Morava River, against Siroki Brijeg, who have returned to the competition. Although this appeared to be an opponent against whom Borac could compete, the team delivered a very poor performance and ultimately suffered a deserved defeat.
At this stage, Igokea look like a significantly stronger team, better prepared for the challenges ahead in the ABA League. I do not give Borac much of a chance in this matchup, and I believe the Cacak side will primarily have to look for its wins at home, while facing considerable difficulties on the road, much like last season. Since joining the league, Borac have played six away games in Laktasi and recorded just one victory.
I expect Igokea to continue their strong home record, demonstrate their superiority over their opponents, and secure another comfortable win.
