Allsvenskan: AIK Stockholm vs Vasteras 12/09/2026
AIK have been dealing with major injury problems for a while now, but the youngsters who’ve somewhat awkwardly been thrown into the starting XI have come through for them.
With a 7-2-1 record since the July restart and two recent wins in the Stockholm derbies (against Hammarby and Djurgården, both of whom are chasing the title), they’ve climbed to 4th in the table.
Newly promoted Västerås are having a standout season. They sit in the top half of the table, well clear of the relegation fight, and look to be in good form. Even in last matchday’s home defeat to Sirius, they responded after falling behind and deserved at least a point from the draw.
At this stage they have no real target left in the league, and they’ve just sold their main striker Leidfogd for €5m, with his replacement also set to miss out. Given how AIK have been looking for a while now, the home win should really be priced below even money.
