Valencia are one win away from a historic league title after another impressive performance, but Barcelona are expected to respond strongly in a game that, given the pace and offensive firepower of both teams, could once again produce a high-scoring affair.

Total Points Betting

Valencia took a huge step toward only the second Spanish championship in club history by winning Game 3 of the Finals series. After surrendering home-court advantage in the opening game, Pedro Martinez’s team managed to steal it back and now enters Game 4 with its first championship point.

The third matchup once again demonstrated why Valencia are enjoying a dream season. Although their shooting was off in the opening minutes, their excellent defense completely disrupted Barcelona and limited them to just 15 points in the first quarter. As the game progressed, Valencia’s trademark style became increasingly evident. Their transition offense worked flawlessly, offensive rebounds created extra possessions, and the third quarter effectively decided the contest. Valencia won that period 31–21 and built a lead they successfully protected until the final buzzer, despite Barcelona’s attempt to close the gap early in the fourth quarter.

The biggest contributor to the victory was once again Jean Montero. The Dominican guard delivered another outstanding performance, finishing with 29 points and six assists, confirming that he has been the most influential player in this Finals series.

Interestingly, the two teams combined for only 15 three-pointers on 52 attempts, yet the game still finished with a total of 168 points. That alone highlights the pace at which these teams are playing and the number of easy baskets generated in transition. Throughout the series, both Valencia and Barcelona have consistently pushed the tempo and looked to attack early in the shot clock, so I expect Game 4 to follow a similar pattern. The teams know each other extremely well, making tactical surprises unlikely. Valencia currently look very confident offensively, while Barcelona will need significantly better performances from their key scorers, particularly Kevin Punter and Will Clyburn, if they want to keep the series alive.
