World Cup 2026: Belgium vs Iran 21/06/2026
Both teams have one point, with Belgium expected to push for a win despite an unconvincing display against Egypt that exposed defensive weaknesses. Iran impressed in their draw with New Zealand and have been scoring consistently, making them a strong candidate to find the net again.
Betting on Both Teams to Score
The second round finds both teams sitting on one point. Belgium, as the favorite, are expected to play for the win, but the resilient Iran side should not be underestimated.
Belgium looked sluggish, disjointed and lacking attacking sharpness against Egypt, needing Romelu Lukaku to come off the bench and score the equalizer. This is a much-changed team compared to previous years and, with Kevin De Bruyne nearing the end of his career, Belgium are still searching for new leaders. Their overall display was not encouraging, especially defensively, where several weaknesses were exposed.
Iran impressed with the energy they showed against New Zealand, fighting back twice to secure a 2-2 draw. The team is well known for dealing with demanding travel schedules and that seems to have made them even tougher mentally. Their attack has been performing consistently for some time now, scoring at least twice in each of their last four matches, including three friendlies before the New Zealand game. I expect them to play positively and look for a goal rather than sit back.
The market generally underrates Iran in my opinion, and I believe they are capable of scoring here. With the BTTS price available as an underdog option, it is worth the risk.
