This season’s Inter are synonymous with wild games: they score easily going forward but have serious problems at the back. They give up plenty of chances and goals, even against clearly weaker opponents. In the Champions League League Phase they’ve started with two defeats and can’t afford another slip.

Shakhtar have made a very good start, with a 1-1 away at PSV and a 2-1 win in London against AEK. They’re a young, technical, quick side that plays at high intensity, with a lot of Brazilians who have already boosted their value quite a bit.

If they don’t tighten up at the back, Inter won’t go far in the competition. Here, though, they have a clear quality advantage and a big need for the win. Even if it comes with difficulty, they can get it. A clean sheet, though, won’t be easy against this team.

Inter’s win at 1.25 doesn’t say much, but it rises to around 2.35 when you combine it with the likely both-teams-to-score. That could be an option.
