Betting on both teams to score

The grand final that traditionally closes the European season features last year’s winners Paris Saint-Germain against this season’s English champions Arsenal.

PSG enjoyed a relatively comfortable campaign. Although Lens pushed them hard in the league race, they eventually secured another title without major issues. Their squad depth improved significantly, several star players were carefully managed throughout the season, and everything seemed to follow Luis Enrique’s long-term plan. The attacking trio of Dembele, Doue and Kvaratskhelia, constantly rotating positions and creating movement, represents a nightmare for any defense.

The big question mark for the Parisians remains their defensive structure. They do not inspire complete confidence when protecting the back line and in this particular match they will also be tested aerially, where they clearly have weaknesses. That is potentially the biggest issue against an Arsenal side that holds a physical and height advantage.

Arsenal fully deserved to win the Premier League and now aim to complete the perfect season. Confidence inside the London club is extremely high. Arteta has built an excellent balance between a team that attacks in multiple ways while also working relentlessly for every possession on the pitch. Their defensive organization remains one of their strongest weapons.

These are two very different football models, but I believe both sides are likely to achieve the main objective of scoring. PSG rarely fail to find the net, while Arsenal can create plenty of chances against this defense, especially through set pieces.

In the previous two European finals, the English sides entered as favorites and won without even conceding a goal. This is obviously a different story in the Champions League final though, and the odds for the highly probable both teams to score market are more than enough for betting value.
