World Cup 2026: Colombia vs DR Congo 23/06/2026
Colombia beat Uzbekistan 3-1 but showed defensive weaknesses, while DR Congo impressed with a well-organized performance in their 1-1 draw against Portugal despite disrupted preparations. Colombia remain favorites, but DR Congo have enough attacking quality to create chances, making Both Teams to Score an appealing option.
Betting on Both Teams to Score
The final 3-1 scoreline against Uzbekistan was somewhat flattering for Colombia. They were the better side overall, but their defensive performance left plenty of room for concern. They came very close to paying the price, escaping an equalizer on two occasions late in the match before scoring the decisive third goal deep into stoppage time.
The Democratic Republic of Congo arrived at the World Cup having played only two friendly matches. Their preparations were disrupted by an Ebola outbreak, forcing the training camp to be relocated to Belgium after the squad had first gone through a quarantine period. Judging by their opening performance and the 1-1 draw against Portugal, the team showed just how well organized it is and why Sebastien Desabre is regarded as one of the most successful national team coaches in African football.
Colombia looked dangerous going forward and possess several players of high quality in attack, but they also allowed a number of opportunities at the other end. They could struggle against the pace and attacking talent of DR Congo, particularly players such as Yoane Wissa and Cedric Bakambu.
While Colombia are deserved favorites at around 1.50, I believe they will concede their share of chances in this matchup. With Both Teams to Score available at odds in the 2.50 range, the value is difficult to ignore and that will be my selection.
