Premier League: Chelsea vs Hull 12/09/2026
Chelsea have the attacking quality and form at Stamford Bridge to seriously threaten Hull’s so-far impenetrable defense and maintain control of the match from the first to the final minute.
Betting on goals
After their defeat to Arsenal at the Emirates, Chelsea will have the chance to return to winning ways in the Premier League as they host Hull.
The Blues put up a solid fight against the reigning English champions but ultimately had to acknowledge the superior quality of their opponent. In the meantime, they also successfully progressed through the second round of the League Cup. In their clash with Leeds, they were 2–0 down early in the second half, but coach Alonso then brought on his key players, and Chelsea managed to score six goals in just 40 minutes to complete a remarkable turnaround.
On the other side, Hull have unexpectedly climbed to third place after three rounds, with seven points collected. Even more impressive is the fact that they are the only team in the league yet to concede a goal. Much of the credit for this strong start goes to coach Sergej Jakirović and his players, who have shown a highly organized and disciplined approach so far. However, it is difficult to expect them to maintain such defensive numbers throughout the entire season.
A trip to Stamford Bridge will represent their toughest challenge yet. Hull’s defense will face a particularly demanding task in trying to stop Chelsea’s in-form attacking line, led by Palmer, Rogers, and Pedro. Chelsea also have quality in other areas of the team, but it is their attack that has been operating at a very high level at the start of the season. This is best reflected in the eight goals scored in their first three league matches, as well as the six goals in the cup tie against Leeds.
I believe Chelsea’s attacking productivity will continue this weekend. Hull have impressed with their defensive solidity so far, but playing at Stamford Bridge presents a completely different level of challenge, and I expect the home side to find the net multiple times.
