England Premier League: Fulham vs Aston Villa 25/04/2026

Fulham seem to be running out of steam and although they still have some chances for a European spot, they do not look like they believe in it themselves. They have just one win in their last six matches (at home against relegated Burnley), while in the other five they failed to score at all.
Wilson, who has ten league goals this season, will be a free agent in the summer and is likely focused on his upcoming transfer, while 35-year-old Raul Jimenez, who has nine, already has his mind on the World Cup and is now used very sparingly.

Aston Villa had significant ups and downs during the season but managed to stay on track thanks to their ability to get results even when not playing well. They are close to securing a Champions League spot, while next Thursday they have the first Europa semifinal away against Nottingham.

They enter the final stretch of the season in their best form. Over the last month and a half they have a 6-1-1 record, losing only away to Manchester United in a “sandwich” game between the two European matches against Lille.

Villa will probably rotate but not extensively, as there is enough time for recovery until next Thursday. At this stage they are playing at least one level above Fulham and want to “lock in” Champions League qualification to focus on winning the Europa League.
