Asteras Tripolis are showing signs of improvement thanks to their new formation and greater defensive stability, and could secure their first win of the season against an inconsistent Atromitos side.

Asteras Tripolis have looked much better in their last few matches. The back three has completely changed how they play. It gave them balance and more security at the back, and up front they certainly have the quality to win at least some of the easier games.

Atromitos started the season with very average performances. The break might do them good, but things weren’t going well behind the scenes. Kerkez doesn’t feel secure in his job, and the board, which didn’t help in the summer, has now brought in two free agents: attacking midfielder Ofori and Dani Garcia, who used to play for Olympiacos.

It’s a tight game between two teams who started badly and sit near the bottom of the table. Asteras are improving though, and maybe the time has come for their first win. Atromitos are always dangerous away from home, but with the odds roughly evenly split, I think the value is on the home side.
