PSG are in superb form and have enormous attacking potential, but Strasbourg also regularly find the back of the net, so an open game with plenty of chances and goals at both ends is expected.

Betting on both teams to score

After a shaky start to the season, PSG have in recent weeks started to look like the team that dominated European football in previous seasons. The Parisians have strung together five consecutive wins, the latest coming in impressive fashion at the Etihad, where they beat Manchester City 4-2. Dembélé, Doué and Vitinha stood out in particular with their performances and goals, while the club’s newest signing, Akliouche, also got on the scoresheet.

Strasbourg, on the other hand, go into this game in somewhat weaker form, following two consecutive defeats by an identical 2-1 scoreline, against Paris FC and Nice. Still, their attack remains among the more efficient in the league, while their defence is among the most vulnerable, as reflected in the high number of goals conceded.

Both the statistics and the history of head-to-head meetings suggest there should be goals this time as well. PSG currently look like a well-oiled machine, but the hosts are not without their own weapons. Strasbourg have scored at least once in each of their last five league matches, with their convincing away performance against Troyes standing out, when they scored as many as six goals.

I expect a very open, attack-minded game in which both teams should find the back of the net. With the quality PSG possess going forward and the fact that Strasbourg score regularly, there is good potential for a match with at least three goals.
