EuroLeague: Maccabi vs Real Madrid 22/10/2026
With Lundberg sidelined and Maccabi short of options in the backcourt, Jimmy Clark is expected to take on a bigger offensive role. In what should be a fast-paced game against Real Madrid, the American guard could benefit from increased scoring opportunities.
Betting on Player Points
Maccabi returned from last week’s trip to Spain with a 1-1 record. After a narrow defeat to Barcelona, they managed to edge out Valencia in another closely contested game. One of the key contributors to that victory was American guard Jimmy Clark, who finished with 17 points and four assists.
Clark was one of Maccabi’s standout performers towards the end of last season, and he is expected to take another step forward this year. He is an excellent slasher with a reliable mid-range jumper, and when his three-point shot is falling, as it was against Valencia, he becomes extremely difficult to defend.
Maccabi will now face a Spanish opponent for the third consecutive game, with Real Madrid visiting Aleksandar Nikolić Hall. The Israeli side will be without Iffe Lundberg, who had been averaging 23 minutes per game at the start of the season. As a result, coach Kattash will have to rely heavily on Madar, Wallace, who is still adjusting to European basketball after his time in the NBA, and Clark in the backcourt.
Clark is averaging 11 points per game this season. He has scored more than 10 points twice, while finishing with nine on three occasions. Tonight, I expect him to take on more offensive responsibility and see an increase in his usage rate, given Maccabi’s limited backcourt rotation. Clark is exactly the type of player who thrives with the ball in his hands and can create his own scoring opportunities.
With a high-tempo contest expected against Real Madrid, Clark should get plenty of chances to score. In my opinion, he has everything he needs to comfortably clear the set points line.
