Nations League: Croatia – Spain 06/10/2026
Betting on goals
Croatia come into this one after the humiliating 7-0 home defeat to England. That result has rocked everyone around the team (players, manager, press, fans). Modrić’s and Bilić’s comments, though, suggest a reaction is coming. Even if this will be the fourth game in a row, I think they’ll fight with real passion for the best result they can get.
Spain have confirmed their incredible quality in the Nations League too. Playing a bit more freely than at the World Cup, they’ve won all three, beating Czechia 3-1 and Croatia 4-1 at home and then England 3-2 away. This is the last of this four-game run for the national teams, and quite a few players are already thinking about their next commitments with their clubs. Rotation is a given, and so is the quality advantage of the world champions.
In front of their own fans, though, the Croats will have extra motivation after the heavy defeat that came before. Getting a result won’t be easy, but they have a good chance of at least scoring their share of the goals. After all, Spain have conceded in each of their previous three games.
