EuroLeague Finals: Olympiacos vs Real Madrid 24/05/2026
Olympiacos, with their dominant frontcourt, inspired Sasha Vezenkov, and huge support from the stands, look more prepared to defeat experienced Real Madrid in the EuroLeague final and lift the title.
Betting on the Winner
We have reached the end of this year’s EuroLeague journey, and there is a growing feeling among fans of dissatisfaction with the competition format itself and the obvious imbalance between the exhausting regular season and the Final Four, which ultimately comes down to a mini tournament and individual inspiration in a single game.
Despite that, there is no doubt we are about to witness a fantastic clash between two giant clubs chasing another important trophy for their rich collections.
More easily than expected, Real Madrid defeated Valencia in a run-and-gun battle where they managed to exploit the weaknesses of the season’s surprise package. Real Madrid once again showed their quality and experience, having been in similar situations many times before.
Now they face Olympiacos, who are effectively the home side in this final and who never had any major problems against Fenerbahce in the semifinal.
Although Real Madrid are considered the “kings” of these kinds of finales, the feeling is that the time has finally come for Piraeus to celebrate. The key to success lies with Sasha Vezenkov, who against Fenerbahce finally looked like the MVP version of himself again. Since he often underperformed in crucial games before, this time extra motivation and perhaps the performance of his career should be expected as he tries to remove that burden from his shoulders.
Alongside him, Olympiacos’ frontcourt duo of Nikola Milutinov and Jones represents an almost impenetrable wall. Their physical strength and depth could completely suffocate Madrid’s inside game and impose a tempo that does not suit Real at all. With the crowd turning the final into something close to a home game, Olympiacos appear more ready to land the decisive blow.
