A crucial match between two teams with limited chances for the title but enormous motivation to at least secure second place, which leads to the Champions League qualifiers.

Olympiacos are forced to play only for victory if they want to keep alive any hopes for the title, but even more importantly to regain the advantage for the valuable second place that they lost after defeat in Toumba.

PAOK would probably be satisfied with a draw here, which would keep them in second place. Of course they may also take risks for the win, something clearly within their abilities, especially since this season they have had the upper hand in matches against Olympiacos.

In the first meeting we saw two very vulnerable defenses and neither side is expected to rely on defending for the result.

The recent history between them is striking. In recent years at Karaiskakis we have seen eight consecutive both teams to score results in league matches, excluding this season’s 0-0 draw which came under special circumstances because of many PAOK absences.
