Greece Super League: Panathinaikos – Olympiacos 19/04/2026

Panathinaikos show improved form with a more balanced and solid system, while still fighting for 3rd place in a motivated setup ahead of a historic derby at Leoforos. Olympiacos have been inconsistent and lack attacking efficiency in recent matches, making value lie with the home side double chance.
Double chance betting
Panathinaikos have very slim chances of achieving anything better than 4th place in the standings, but in the first round of the playoffs they proved they are not without motivation. They will fight as much as possible for 3rd place, which gives a better European ticket, while everyone at the club knows these matches are a test (for players and coach) ahead of the new season.
The match has a historic character, as it seems this will be the last “eternal derby” to be played at Leoforos. On the pitch, the greens appear much improved. The formation with three center backs has given them balance and defensive stability, and with it both results and overall performance have significantly improved.
Olympiacos remain in the title race but in almost all their domestic matches in 2026, they have not been convincing. Their problem seems structural. Their attacking plan looks one dimensional and predictable and is effectively handled by compact defenses. It is no coincidence that they failed to score in seven of their last ten matches, scoring only against Panserraikos, Panetolikos and OFI.
The match is expected to be tough, tight and likely decided by small details. The bookmakers clearly favor Olympiacos, something that cannot be justified by the recent form of the two teams. Based on this, there is value in the home side prices, with the double chance trading around 1.90.
