Betting on Asian Handicap

A six pointer clash between two teams expected to fight until the end for survival in the division.

Panetolikos, with less support from the management compared to other seasons, are struggling a lot in the league. The departure of Petrakis, who at least had built a serious team with a clear competitive character, has also cost them.

Anastasiou tried to play more offensively, but he does not have the squad to support that approach. Despite the losing streak, the team was quite competitive in most of their matches and last Saturday they achieved an important away win, beating AEL 4-1.

One of the disappointments of this season, Asteras Tripolis also appear relatively unsupported by their ownership. The return of the familiar Rastavac to their bench could be the turning point of their season, as the capable Serbian coach knows the club very well. The squad however is inferior compared to previous seasons.

After six consecutive defeats with a total goal difference of 1-13, the team returned to winning ways after 2.5 months, beating Volos 2-0 at home. The sharp drop of the home win odds at the bookmakers however, which ended up at prices even below 1.70, creates several question marks about whether they are truly in a phase of competitive recovery.

Asteras Tripolis probably have slightly better material, but for a long time now they have shown nothing on the pitch. With only three league wins and a 1-3-7 away record, I find it hard to see them as the favorite of the match.
The game looks quite balanced and from their last nine meetings, eight ended in a draw. We will take advantage of the odds around 3.50 offered for the home win in the full time result market and we will choose the Asian +0.25 which leaves profit even in case of a draw.
