First semi final in the Conference League, very balanced and unpredictable, between teams that have been positioned low domestically in recent years and now have a huge opportunity for success. Both reach a European semi final for the first time in their history.

Rayo narrowly eliminated AEK after two matches full of chances and goals and comes from a 3-3 draw against Sociedad in the league, where they sit mid-table.

Strasbourg made a big comeback against Mainz to reach the semi finals, but at the same time lost ground in the league after average performances. As an exception, they beat Lorient 3-2 on Saturday, showing they can cope with the important absence of their main striker and top scorer Panichelli.
Rayo defense is vulnerable and I expect the visitors to try to exploit it. However, the French side is not reliable defensively either.
