Lazio are in excellent form, but given the solid approach of both teams and their lack of efficiency so far, a tactical battle with limited space and chances is expected.

The derby of Matchday 4 in Serie A will take place at the Olimpico, where Lazio will host Milan.

The Biancocelesti have had a perfect start to the season, collecting the maximum nine points from three matches. After wins against Bologna and Genoa, they also beat Udinese away last week with a 2–1 scoreline. This victory was a major achievement for Gennaro Gattuso’s team, who were trailing until the 75th minute, when new signings Frattesi and Gudmundsson stepped up with goals to secure three valuable points.

Milan would have had an equally strong start if they had managed to hold on for just five more minutes in last week’s derby against Juventus. As it stands, with seven points, the Rossoneri sit in fifth place. Milan have ambitions of challenging at the very top, but it is still difficult to assess their true potential at this stage.

Recent head-to-head meetings between these teams have not produced many goals or high-quality football, and my impression is that we could see something similar this weekend. Lazio won their first two matches of the season by narrow margins, while Milan managed just three shots against Juventus, only one of which was on target. I expect the main battle to take place in midfield, with plenty of stoppages, fouls, and disrupted play. All of this points toward a low-scoring match.
