The UEFA Nations League kicks off for Montenegro and Armenia on October 5, 2026, in a fixture that promises to set the tone for their respective campaigns. With both sides boasting identical records of 0 wins, 0 draws, and 0 losses, and no goals scored or conceded, this encounter is a true blank slate. The early stages of the Nations League often present opportunities for teams to establish momentum, and neither side will want to cede an early advantage.
For Montenegro, playing at home will be a crucial factor. They will be keen to utilize their home support to build confidence and secure an opening victory. Armenia, conversely, will be looking to frustrate their hosts and potentially snatch a valuable point or even three on the road. Without any recent form to analyze, the tactical approaches of the managers will be paramount. Expect a cautious start from both teams, with an emphasis on defensive solidity before looking to exploit any weaknesses. The first goal could prove decisive in a match where neither side has yet found their attacking rhythm. Fans should watch for early set-piece opportunities and individual moments of brilliance that could unlock what is expected to be a tightly contested affair.
