Tennis Predictions for Today

Here, you’ll find our latest tennis tips and predictions for upcoming fixtures. We’ve analysed and reviewed the latest stats in order to develop our expert predictions, including head to head, recent form, stats and odds value. See below to find all of our current tennis tips on today’s major and minor events.

Why You Can Trust Our Tennis Predictions

There’s a lot that goes into developing our tennis tips and predictions. We thoroughly research every aspect of a fixture, analysing everything that can play a part in how a game might play out.

In particular, we look at current form, head to head results and court surface. We also analyse where the betting value lies across a range of markets and which betting site is offering competitive odds.

While there’s of course no guarantee of success in betting, we research and analyse in-depth every possible factor that could have an impact on how a tennis match plays out.

What We Base Our Tennis Predictions On

So, what do we analyse in particular? As we’ve touched upon, anything that can have an impact on a match or competition is researched and examined. In particular, though, we focus on the following factors.

  • Player Form
  • Head to Head
  • Previous Results
  • Physical Condition
  • Injuries
  • Court Surface
  • Odds Value

Current Form and Physical Condition

It’s important to consider a player’s current form, along with how much they’ve played in the weeks and months preceding the event you’re betting on. Of course, a player who has performed well in recent competitions will be full of confidence, which can help sustain success. However, think about a player’s physical condition. If they’ve performed well and reach the final stages of recent tournaments, burn out could become an issue.

 Recent Injuries and Physical Wear

Talking of physical condition, the more games and matches a player takes part in, the greater risk of injury, especially if they’ve suffered injuries over the last season. Another good idea is to analyse how many sets and games a specific player has taken part in recently, how any potential injuries are holding up and if this has affected previous matches.

Court Surface (Clay, Grass, Hard Court)

While the cream of the crop have proven they can perform well on all surfaces, many tennis players tend to perform better on particular courts. For example Rafa Nadal, after winning 11 French Open Grand Slams, is known as the King of Clay. Venus Williams was exceptional on grass, winning Wimbledon five times.

Of course, Nadal and Williams are exceptional players and enjoyed success on other surfaces too. The point still stands, though, some players perform better on some surfaces than others. As part of your betting research, it’s a good idea to assess a player’s record on different surfaces and see where they excel or perform below their typical standards.

Think about which surfaces are best for which type of player. Clay courts tend to suit baseline players, with its slow surface and high bounce. Hard courts are similar, though they generally play slightly faster. Grass courts tend to suit players whose games are based on serves and volleys, and are much faster than hard or clay courts.

 Head-to-Head History

Similarly important to research is previous head-to-head results. If one player has had the upper hand against their opponents in previous meetings, this could indicate how the match might play out.

 Odds Value in Betting Markets

A key aspect of betting is to find odds with value. Main markets such as Match Winner might not offer a great amount of value. Most operators offer a range of tennis betting markets, including Set Betting, Points Betting and Total Games might provide more value than a Result bet. Similarly, if you’re planning on betting on Outright markets, there are more available than just Outright Winner bets. Consider other long term bet options, these can often provide better value overall.

Types of Tennis Predictions You’ll Find

One reason why tennis betting is so popular is the range of markets available on both major and minor tournaments. You’ll find a wide variety of markets at most online bookmakers, which means there’s plenty of opportunities to find value.

As such, our tennis tips and predictions cover a plethora of markets. We cover many different options, including the following options.

 Match Winner Bets

A Match Winner bet is arguably the most common market to bet on in tennis. It’s certainly the easiest to understand - you’re simply betting on which player you think will win the match in question.

For example, Iga Swiatek is taking on Jessica Pegula in the WTA at Bad Homburg. If you place a bet on Swiatek to win, and she proves successful, you win your bet.

 Set and Game Predictions (Over/Under)

Set and Game predictions can often provide more value than a standard Match Winner bet. Betting sites give you the option to bet on how many Sets will be played in a match, over and under a specified amount. Similarly, Games Over/Under betting is incredibly popular. With this market, you’re betting on how many Games over or under a specified amount will be played across the match.

You can also bet on how many specific sets will be played, along with Set Score, Game Score and Race To markets.

 Handicap Bets

Other markets that can offer greater betting value are the Handicap markets. Handicaps cover a range of options, including Match Set Score Handicap and Total Games Handicap.

Returning to our Swiatek vs Pegula example, let’s say we think Swiatek will win reasonably comfortably. We might consider a -4.5 Handicap Total Games bet. For this bet to be successful, we’ll need Swiatek to win by 5 or more Games.

Our tipsters provide a variety of tennis Handicap betting tips throughout the year on major and minor tournaments.

 Long-Term Bets (Tournament Winner)

Outright or Tournament Winner bets are extremely popular, particularly on major tournaments. The biggest events capture the imagination of both regular bettors and those who just fancy a flutter every now and then. For example, Grand Slams such as Wimbledon and the US Open are massive events for bettors and spectators alike, with huge viewing figures across the globe.

Outright Winner odds are available well in advance of the tournament starting. Other long term bet options are also available, including Each Way betting, Stage of Elimination and To Reach The Final, as well as head-to-head markets on Who Will Go Furthest.

 Live Tennis Betting

With ever-changing scorelines, high intensity and fast-paced action, tennis lends itself very well to in-play betting. Live tennis odds can provide good betting value, along with the opportunity to cover your pre-match bets.

For instance, if you wanted to bet on Taylor Fritz to beat Jenson Brooksby in the ATP tour at Eastbourne, you might think that odds of 1.2 on the Fritz win don’t represent much value. However, if Brooksby wins the first game or two, Fritz’s odds are likely to lengthen, meaning better value if you expect your player to bounce back.

Our live tennis predictions cover a range of markets, including Next Game Winner, Next Set Winner and Next Point in Game.

Predictions for Other Sports

Along with our tennis predictions and tips, we also provide predictions on other sports. If you’re looking for the latest football predictions, we’ve got you covered, with tips on major and minor competitions including the UEFA Champions League and FIFA World Cup, as well as leagues and tournaments taking place across Europe and beyond.

Maybe you’re looking for basketball predictions today, we can help you here too. You can find the latest basketball tips on not only NBA action, but also on domestic and international fixtures taking place in Europe, South America, Asia and more.

FAQ. Frequently Asked Questions
  • There are a few differences between betting on tennis and betting on other sports. Firstly, tennis (with the obvious exceptions of Doubles matches) are 1v1, you’re betting on a particular player to do well, rather than a team where more than one player can win you a game. A typical tennis match is ever-changing, with the momentum swinging from player to player constantly. In addition, the venue of the match can also play a huge part in how a match might play out, like court surface and weather conditions.

  • As we touched upon earlier, it’s incredibly important to research a match before you place a bet on it. In particular, look at form, previous meetings, court surface and previous results. These can all have a huge impact on how a match might play out. By researching these aspects, you give yourself a better chance of placing successful bets.

  • As it’s such an exciting sport to bet on, there are many different markets popular with bettors. Outright Winner or Tournament Winner markets are incredibly popular, along with Match Result bets. More experienced bettors might look further afield, particularly at Total Over/Under and Handicap bets.

  • As with all sports, a high ranking doesn’t mean success. Of course, the best players have reached a high ranking for a reason, but this doesn’t necessarily equate to future success. However, a player with a high ranking usually means they’ll be drawn against weaker opponents, especially in the early rounds of tournaments, therefore they’re likely to reach the latter stages of a competition.

  • Different surfaces can have a huge impact on the way the ball moves and bounces, which in turn means a surface can suit one player’s game but not another. Some players perform better on one surface than another. When you’re betting on tennis, court surface is a very important aspect to consider. Look at the previous results of a player on similar surfaces as part of your betting research.

  • Betting on any sport comes with huge risk. You should never see tennis betting as a way to make money, rather it’s a pastime that should be enjoyed safely and responsibly. There’s no guarantee of betting success. To give yourself the best chance of making successful bets, conduct your research thoroughly, find value and never bet more than you can comfortably afford to lose.
