Starda offers new customers a Welcome bonus which is worth 150% of their first deposit. The maximum amount that can be claimed is €100 meaning that a deposit of €67 is enough to maximise this bonus. The wagering requirements are that you must bet the bonus amount a total of 10x on accumulator bets of 3+ events with minimum odds of 1.5 for each leg.
Starda theme themselves as a Starship flying through space and this imagery is seen throughout the site. They claim that they are always in search of thrilling licenced games and invite you to “explore the universe of online gambling with us”. The site is accessible from your desktop or mobile browser, and they also have dedicated Android and iOS Apps. They are focused on the Casino side but provide a very capable sportsbook too, and have the novel “Reel Detective” area which can not be found at many places and is an interesting feature. The sportsbook has a huge number of sports to bet on and offers both pre-match and in-play betting.
Starda is licenced to operate in Switzerland with its management company GALAKTIKA N.V. being fully licensed and regulated by Curaçao Gaming Control Board (license No. OGL/2024/169/0146 issued on 28 October 2024), Curaçao laws and regulations. You can check the validity of this licence by searching on the Curacao Egaming website. Swiss laws are undefined on the issue of gambling at international online betting sites and it is certainly not outlawed. Starda adheres to international best practice standards when it comes to the age of their customers (18+ only) and meets anti money laundering regulations by only transferring winnings back to an account in the name of the Starda account holder. The payment processing is managed by Unionstar Limited (registered under No. HE 356131 at Agias Fylaxeos & Zinonos Rossidi 2, 1st Floor, 3082 Limassol, Cyprus), a subsidiary of GALAKTIKA N.V.
Starda is relatively new and do not have any industry awards under its belt but they have no major complaints issued about them online either, its reputation is fine.
Once you are registered at Starda and have logged into your account by default you are in the casino area, so from the header bar at the top of the screen click on “Sports” to be taken to the sportsbook area. Once there the site is just what you want it to be, easy to navigate to the sports that you are interested in from the sidebar on the left, a search bar to narrow in on the team or player you are interested in if you have a specific bet in mind, and the sidebar to the right has the latest relevant bonuses that you can take part in. What is a nice touch is that the main event(s) of the day are given priority in the ranking system and appear at the very top, with the main section having the most popular match of the day featured.
Everything that you can do on the desktop version is available on the mobile app and there are Android and iOS versions available. The site whilst easy to navigate can appear cluttered at times and there is very little customisation available, just selecting odds format and language display. Having said that there are a more than average number of odds displays to choose from, you can have: EU, Hong Kong, Indo, Malay, UK, or US.
In our experience the site loaded normally with no glitches or delays, but if you were to experience an issue you can notify them using Livechat, Telegram, or Emailing help-starda@support.win.
Supported languages at Starda:
Several payment methods are available at Starda and these include card payments (Visa, Mastercard, and others), E-Wallets, and Crypto Currencies including not just Bitcoin but also Ethereum, Dogecoin, and Tether.
As is standard at all online bookmakers the maximum amount for deposits and withdrawals will depend on the payment method that you select. If the amount that you request to withdraw exceeds the limit set by the specific payment system, the amount will be withdrawn in installments. There are separate withdrawal limits that are set by Starda themselves and may kick in if you are a high roller, depending on your VIP level the amounts that can be withdrawn in any given period are:
If you are a Swiss citizen and opening an account from Switzerland then there is only the option to use Euros as the currency. Those are the withdrawal limits for FIAT currencies withdrawn by traditional methods. If these are potentially going to be too low for you then using a cryptocurrency would be advisable. If you use Crypto then the limits are set at the equivalents to $50,000 / $250,000 / $1,000,000 for all players.
As per their T&Cs if the total amount of deposits is more than €2,000 they have a right to verify your identity. Furthermore, if the total amount of deposits is more than €10,000 they have a right to request a source of funds confirmation.
If the withdrawn amount is more than €1,250 then they have the right to carry out additional verification checks for “a period of no more than 48 hours”.
In order to open an account at Starda initially no documentation is required however they reserve the right to ask for verification of who and where you are based at any time. They specifically say they will ask for proof of identity after you have deposited €2,000 or more and proof of funds (where the money came from) once you have deposited over €10,000. You can almost always satisfy their requests by sending a scan of your passport or other government issued ID, a utility bill of some kind, and if it is a proof of funds request your bank statement too. To verify your identity you Email these documents to help-starda@support.win.
It is perfectly safe to share your documents with Starda, they are only used in the strictest of confidence. The personal data of users is controlled and processed by GALAKTIKA N.V. who comply with the principles established by the General Data Protection Regulation (Regulation (EU) 2016/679). This essentially means that it is only “collected for certain, explicit and legitimate purposes and is not processed further in a way that is incompatible with these purposes” and that it “is stored in a form that allows identification of users no longer than it is necessary for the purposes for which personal data are processed”.
If you suspect that your account has been hacked or any type of fraud has taken place then in the first instance change your password and then contact them to see if anything suspicious is visible on their end and seek advice on how to proceed. Unfortunately 2FA verification is not currently available and if you wish to permanently close your account this can be done by E-mailing them. They advise that it is your responsibility to withdraw all funds before doing so.
There is a very wide range of Sports and Betting markets available in the Starda sportsbook and it covers not just the mainstream sports that you would take for granted but also a lot of less popular sports that you might be surprised to see. There is a depth of betting markets available for each football match going beyond the standard win and correct score options and including halftime results, corners taken ,and fouls committed, as well as a range of player “specials”.
There are a total of 53 “Sports” listed at Starda if you include “E-Sports” in the list, which is a remarkably large number. There is also a good number of leagues, tournaments and competitions within each sport, at the time of writing an enormous 1068 football leagues and cups from around the world. We were pleased to discover that Swiss leagues feature heavily too with bets available on both the Swiss Super League and the Swiss Challenge League.
The full list at the time of writing is in the table below:
Some sports on that list which are rarely covered elsewhere are Figure Skating, Padel Tennis, Roller Hockey, and Pool, so if any of those are of interest then Starda is the site for you. Some would argue they are not sports as such, but E-Sports and Virtual games are also readily available. Notably the only sport missing is Horse Racing.
On all of the main sports there is in-play betting available, and a surprising number have a live stream of the event as it is in progress which can be viewed by all logged in accounts. If there is no live stream itself available they instead have a graphical display of what is going on, which also has all the key stats on it, the current score, the game time, and any bookings that have taken place. You can also “Cash Out” selected bets, but this feature is not always available in-play it will depend on the bet type and the current situation in the game.
They do not seem to have sport specific bonuses and promotions, but your welcome bonus can be used on any sport.
Generally speaking the quality of odds available at Starda is one of the highlights of this site, and reflects very favourably when compared to rivals. It is true the best odds are in the major events, football and tennis regularly 2% – 3% compared to E-Sports and Boxing out at 5% – 8% but that is still actually competitive because all sites do that.
There are not any boosted odds at Starda, what you see is what you get across the board, but the odds are so good already they match and beat other sites’ odds even post boost! The betslip is responsive and can be used to tell you all you need to know about your bet before it is actually submitted. When you add bets to it, and enter your stake amount, it will automatically calculate your total return and you will see that, also if you bet under or over the bet limits or maximum payouts you will be warned and told what the limits are and to adjust your bet.
As we mentioned previously it is sometimes possible to cash out your bets ahead of the final result, so you can lock in a profit or minimise a loss. Other than that the only time a bet is closed prematurely would be if the event is postponed and interrupted and does not finish. In this scenario all bets are void and your stake amount will be refunded.
They offer the odds formats Decimal, Fractional, or US and you can change it to what you are comfortable with from within the My Account settings area.
Starda offers rewards on not just the first deposit, but continually rewards players with reload bonuses, birthday bonuses, Acca boost bonuses and cashback rewards.
As we already mentioned above Starda offer new customers a generous 150% Welcome bonus up to a value of €100. After that there are further bonuses on your 2nd deposit and then again on your 3rd deposit. The 2nd deposit bonus is 100% up to €100 and the 3rd deposit is 50% also worth €100.
The wagering requirements for each are that you must bet the bonus amount a total of 10x on accumulator bets of 3+ events with minimum odds of 1.5 for each leg which is actually quite a difficult wagering requirement to complete. It is not however the biggest problem, the biggest issue is that after completing the 10x wagering you will only be able to keep a maximum of the bonus amount, not any winnings from it.
Starda have several bonuses advertised as being available to their existing customers.
Weekly Sportsbook Bonuses (The Game Never Stops) – Once a week, every week, you can deposit a minimum of €10 and get a 50% reload bonus added to it. The wagering requirements and key T&C’s are the same as the Welcome Offer.
Express Bonus (Up to Twice as Big) – This is essentially an Acca Boost offer, the more legs to your Acca that you add the greater the % boost will be, up to 36%. The minimum number of legs is 3 and you must select that you want this bonus on your bet slip when you place the bet.
Express Cashback (Get up to 50% Back) – This is basically Acca insurance, and it is quite a generous example of it. The amount of cashback you will be awarded depends on how many legs your Acca contains, the amounts are set in the table below:
To be eligible for the cashback offer you must turn bonuses on in the Betslip pop-up.
As we have already discussed the bonus terms for Starda are quite unfavourable to the player. You can not simply withdraw the bonus amount, you are required to wager it 10x using Acca bets with 3 legs minimum (Singles bets will not count). Worse than this they also limit the maximum win amount to 1x the bonus too. There is no stated time limit to meet this wagering requirement but if one does apply you will be able to see it in the account section once you log in. If you ever have any Free Spins that are awarded have a 72 hour limit in which to be used. If you ever fail to meet the wagering requirements in time then your bonus funds and any winnings from them will be forfeited. You can only claim any bonuses using real money, bonuses can not be used to claim new bonuses. Bonuses can be wagered on both pre-match and in-play markets though.
To Summarise:
You can access the Starda mobile site on any mobile device or you can download either the iOS or Android dedicated App. There are no unique features using the app, but it is designed in such a way that you can do everything you need to do on a much smaller screen. You can stream the same sporting events on your mobile device as you can on your desktop, you simply need to be logged in. There is no difference in odds or the markets that you can bet on, the only difference is how you can navigate to them. To download either of the mobile apps Starda have direct download links available from the bottom of their homepage. The mobile experience is just as good as you experience on the desktop site, and there is no loss of functionality.
All major sports can be wagered on pre-match and also in-play at Starda, we have listed what has been available during our review below:
The odds available in-play are not noticeably different from those available pre-match with similar margins, the only noticeable difference is lower bet limits and there is more probability that your bet is rejected and newly updated odds offered instead. Live streaming is available for certain matches and events for some (but not all) sports, where there is not a live stream you are presented with a graphical representation of the action instead. A really good thing about the in-play betting at Starda is the quick summary stats of the game so far that are displayed, giving a really quick snapshot of what has gone on and where things stand.
Markets do not constantly suspend but they do suspend around major events in the game, which is as you would expect, for example if a goal has just been scored or a penalty awarded.
The Starda customer support is quick to respond and answers are clear and concise, with no rambling on and referring to irrelevant “FAQ” pages that you have already read here. They have three methods of contact, and the support agents are well trained regardless of which you use.
Our E-mails to them were replied to within ten minutes each time and generally they seem to work around the clock, certainly the live chat does. Although they may have a skeleton staff after hours, you will still get through to someone.
They do have a very comprehensive help section and FAQ area on the site but this is an area that lets them down, because it is at times contradictory and certainly not always easy to find the information that you are looking for.
Starda has a responsible gambling policy and it goes into some detail about their position. It is another area where Starda does not excel though, they have the policy but it is not clear for whose benefit the policy exists, and furthermore they offer no actual tools that somebody could use to either limit their deposits or the time that they are spending on the site. Instead they explain how if you are gambling from a jurisdiction where it is not allowed that is not their fault, they explain what they do to prevent underage gambling (fine), and then have some very generic points about how you can identify if you have a problem. They give the following advice:
“We recommend following these rules to ensure comfortable and safe gambling:
This is all good advice, but there is very little in the way of actual help. The closest they come is by recommending other organisations to turn to if you think that you may have a problem, such as GamCare, Gambling Therapy, Gordon Moody Association, Gamblers Anonymous, etc.
There is not a lot in the way of feedback available online about Starda but what there is seems to be generally positive. They have a full range of Social Media accounts for people to engage with them if there are issues, but these have not been actively managed for several years now. Generally speaking, their reputation is neither good nor bad, they have not won any industry awards nor do they have any sponsorship or partnership deals to note.
If you find yourself in the position where you have to make a complaint, in the first instance you should contact the Support Department and if they are unable to resolve the problem immediately they will forwards it to the management. You will be informed of what is going on and relevant timeframes and if the dispute cannot be resolved at “the level of the Casino administration” (Which we think means the Company Directors) then they advise that you can contact independent institutions, official gambling authorities or licensee.
Since they have a Curacao licence you would therefore want to contact the Curacao eGaming body and file a complaint with them HERE
The Starda affiliate program is run by Royal Partners who offer CPA, Rev Share, or Hybrid affiliate deals. They are a big deal in the affiliate industry being active in 22 GEO’s with over 5000 partners and over 1,000,000 active users! You can apply to join the program if you have any type of traffic, be it from a website or you could be a content creator with a channel on one of the social media platforms.
If you are approved for an account you are given a range of tools to use to help promote the Royal Partner brands, including of course Starda. You can check your statistics anytime you like by simply logging in but you will find there is a delay of up to 24 hours in the reports.
Payments are made monthly directly to your payment method of choice. There is no limit to how much you can earn and also no negative carryover from month to month making this one of the better affiliate schemes.
In conclusion, there is a lot that Starda gets right, it is a great little website and the number of sports and markets available to bet on is really, really, impressive. The odds are tasty as well. Where they let themselves down is the incredibly unfriendly bonus T&C’s which in reality render the bonuses almost worthless. The in-play product is good though and they accept a large range of payment methods and have very high payout limits, so this is a bookmaker that is likely to appeal to high rollers more than bonus hunters.
